Meronden Designs supplied and installed 6 metre high, low iron, structural double glazing for the atrium that contains Stella’s urban garden sanctuary, featuring silver birch trees and annual seasonal planting. Our striking skylights provide more natural light to highlight the store’s interior details and product features.
ZMMA were shortlisted for the Museums and Heritage Award for a Permanent Exhibition on behalf of the V&A for the Europe 1600-1815 galleries. They were also shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit Awards, Cultural Buildings Award: Visitor Centres, Libraries and Museums.
Meronden were responsible for specialist, bespoke glass in the V&A’s Europe 1600-1815 galleries, involving: The Serilly Boudoir; The Jacob Bed; and the masquerade interactive are.

A lengthy list of exclusively bespoke fittings includes: walk on glass; a large piece of structural glass that serves as a roof-light and window; external structural glass doors; balustrades; shower screens; mirrors; internal glass walls and doors.
